MAKING MY DECISION

Out of the 7 clinics I saw, 5 were unbearable and not to be reconsidered. 2 were HIGHLY favorable and I decided to revisit these clinics.

The battle was between ASPS and MVP. You can read my review of my consults under the Consultations tab above. To cut the story short, when I brought my friends to ASPS, they were not impressed with their before and afters. Also, since their consultant only speaks mandarin, I would have difficulty with them after my friends left the country. My AirBnB host also mentioned that they "had 5 strikes on a Naver" blacklist chart.

Why Did I Choose MVP?

1) Language. From a foreigner perspective, it is better if you dont need a minimum of 4 people in the room: the doctor, a translator, the actual consultant, and yourself. Ellen who is a consutant speaks fluent English probably as well as you do! She's 2 in 1 and is very straight forward yet polite and not intimidating.

2) Pressure. She did not pressure me into surgery instead she said "you come back anytime!". Places like Dream and CheongdamU kept insisting that if I don't make my decision by today or tomorrow the slot would be taken. CheongdamU even got in touch to say that I better decide quickly or they are giving my slot to someone else.

3) I asked two Korean locals (my air bnb host and an airport suitor) to help me search NAVER for reviews. They found only good reviews on MVP and said many people are very happy with thier outcomes especially their rhinoplasty. However my airbnb host mentioned that ASPS had been blacklisted 5 times on some Korean chart.

4) MVP's toilet was better and cleaner than JW - I ended up using their toilet a lot to freshen up and check my face! Wouldn't want to have to do that in a crappy or dirty one!

5) All in all, ALL green lights are GO.

-Patient surgeon who was not cocky.

-Surgeon provided natural results and yet was able to listen to what goals I had in mind

-Medicine is part of your bill and pumpkin juice is available after surgery

-Consultant speaks English and communication is easy

-Place feels relaxing and fresh (unlike VIP where you just want to get out)

-Second consult proved many people use MVP services

-They booked me in for a 11am to 4:30pm time slot.

-I was also promised that Dr. Seo would not leave me at the operating table (unlike horror stories at other clinics!!)

-Good reviews on Naver.

-MVP has asked me to come back after 3 months to finish my lateral and fix my entropian eyelash curl at no extra charge. This is consistant with Dr. Choi from JW and Dr. Yang. Though it would be inconvenient to come back and would cost me at least $1500AUD in flights and accommodation, I feel that Dr.Seo has my best interest at heart. This way he can also check his work on me when I return.
